Building Science 1 module is an introduction to the factors affecting thermal performance of buildings. It emphasizes on creating acceptable indoor thermal conditions and minimize the uses of space heating and cooling.

In this project, in a group of 6, students are tasked to research and analysis a local building which showcase the basic design for thermal comfort. A proposal of passive design is to be done and elaborated, with the principles, strategies and details regarding achieving thermal comfort in tropical climate all taken into consideration.
